Works by leading Scottish artists will feature at a pop-up exhibition in Partickhill this weekend.
West End-based gallery By Distinction Art has teamed up with Partickhill Bowling and Community Club to stage the show.
The event – Putting the ART in Partickhill – is on Sunday August 13 between 2pm and 5pm.
A selection of paintings at the Byres Road gallery will be on show.
They include works by Margaret Evans, Henry Kondracki. Frank McNab, June Carey, Cecilia Cardiff, Ryan Mutter and Adrian Wiszniewski.
Designer Ruth Swan will be there in person to showcase her latest jewellery designs.
It is the latest event at the newly-renovated club building on Partickhill Road since it opened its doors to the community.
The clubhouse’s long room with its natural light and open walls has made it a popular space to display art.
Bruce Finnie, at By Distinction Art, said he was delighted to be collaborating with the club.
“Partickhill Bowling and Community Club kindly invited us to co-host this event.
“We are delighted to support them in this way to hopefully attract potential new members for them.
“We hope it proves to be a popular addition to their current members event calendar.”
The Partickhill club has been carefully renovated to retain its original features and serve as a community hub once again.
The clubhouse, which opened in 1905, is surrounded by Glasgow tenements and remains a real oasis of calm in the West End.
Since reopening, the club has staged a number of public exhibitions and events involving local art groups and schools.
This summer the clubhouse hosted live music with rock/folk artist Martin G Stephenson.
* The club will offer prosecco on arrival at the event Sunday …. and the bar will be open!
