A market for the discerning buyer is coming to the West End this weekend.
The SWG3 venue on Eastvale Place in Finnieston plays host to the artisan event.
The market over two days sees more than 25 of Scotland’s most exciting contemporary artists, designers and makers joining forces.
Glasgow’s leading arts venue is staging the market as part of its high-end design and craft marketplace series, Hypermarket.
The event is curated by Scottish outdoor lifestyle brand Trakke, which has its base and premises nearby.
The market will take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5. Entry is FREE.
Offering everything from stylish ceramics to handmade textiles, the market will be held in SWG3’s stunning Galvanizers, the latest space to be added to the sweeping venue.
Mutley, SWG3 founder and director, said: “Glasgow is awash with incredible artists and designers, but – unless they have a retail presence – they don’t always have the platform to connect directly with their customers.
“Hypermarket is the perfect opportunity and provides a brilliant platform for otherwise unknown brands to showcase their products.”
The two-day event will showcase a host of brands including: Jennifer Lemon, Outsiders Press, Lake & Loch, Dear Green Coffee, Green Thomas Knit, Solas Sleepwear, Kevin Andrew Morris Ceramics and Kate McLaughlin Jewellery.
Alongside a bustling retail area, Hypermarket will feature some of the best local street food vendors, as well as live music, craft beer and cocktail bars.
SWG3’s outdoor Yard will also be open to graffiti artists.
The times for ‘Hypermarket curated by Trakke’are: Saturday August, 11am – 6pm; Sunday 5 August, 12pm – 6pm.
