Seven more nights have been added to the GlasGLOW light show this year.

An initial 30,000 tickets for the spectacle at Glasgow Botanic Gardens sold out in one week.

Organisers itison, the online deals and events site, said it had been blown away by the phenomenal demand.

Dates for the return of GlasGLOW have been extended to run from October 25 to November 10.

Tickets for the new dates will be released on Wednesday September 11 at 7am exclusively at www.itison.com.

Oli Norman is the chief executive at itison and a West End resident who is investing £750,000 into the event.

He said: “The interest in GlasGLOW has been phenomenal and we’re excited to be releasing new dates to keep up with huge levels of demand.

“We sold over 30,000 tickets in the first week of going on-sale and the majority of weekend slots have already sold out so now’s the time to bag tickets if you missed out first time round.
