A popular jazz venue is looking to consolidate its place on Sauchiehall Street.
The Blue Arrow Jazz Club (BAJC) launches on Friday as a free-entry music venue, bar and diner.
The venue will no longer be just The Blue Arrow – as it has been since it opened in 2018.
In that time BAJC has established itself as a key hub within the city’s thriving live music and club scenes.
In particular, the venue has grown with the city’s live jazz community, which has enjoyed an explosion in creativity and popularity.
From now on, BAJC will be offering free entry live jazz every Friday and Saturday night.
And it will also offer vegetarian and vegan small plates from the award-winning creative kitchen team behind The Hug and Pint, Hen of the Woods @The Glad Cafe and Vin-Cru Natural Wine Bar.
This Friday will mark the official launch of the new programme at Blue Arrow Jazz Club, featuring live music from Nimbus Sextet.
A spokesman said: “We’re really excited about the changes taking place here at The Blue Arrow – soon to become Blue Arrow Jazz Club.
“We’ve enjoyed a great degree of success here since 2018 and now we are renewing our focus in terms of music programming.
“Utilising the space to its full potential, we aim to mix great food with fantastic live music – with full free entry live shows every weekend.
“Sauchiehall St is currently enjoying a resurgence of sorts and we intend to make this reimagined version of Blue Arrow Jazz Club a prominent fixture in the area and a key hub within the city’s wider musical landscape and nightlife.”
He added: “We’re excited to invite everyone to enjoy the space, with no door cover charge.
